Luna Ses - The Zero Point of Tourism in Satu Mare
Luna Ses is an open space of approximately 250 hectares, at an medium altitude of 500 m, at the base of the North slopes of the Pietroasa mountain peak (1201 m) and the Muntele Mic (1013 m). The resort is still under construction, it is the "zero kilometer of the tourism in Satu Mare region" as the prefect Radu Bud said when he gave the project to the construction company, in April 2005. The projects intends to make use of the special natural characteristics of the region "Luna Ses". The project was started by the mutual efforts of the Local Concils of both regions Satu Mare and Maramures, it is named "Development of the tourist region Luna Ses - Borsa", was nationally validated by the Phare Program 2002 and it is part of the Memorandum for financing made with the European Union. The total value of the project is of more than 15,3 millions of Euro, from which, the value of the Luna Ses objective is of 8,921 millions Euro, the one of the Borsa objective is of more than 6,3 millions Euro. The contribution of Phare to this project amounts 5 millions Euro, and the one of the Romanian Government of 1,666 millions Euro. The contribution of the Regional Council of Satu Mare for "Luna Ses" is of 5,037 millions. From the financing we got thanks to Phare Program, a road of 6,6 km will be modernized, it includes 7 bridges, a road to access the base of the ski slope with a length of 1,8 km, a parking zone for 100 cars and busses, will provide water and electricity, a canalization network and a utility to purify the water, a ski slope in length of 1800 m (exactly on the top of the mountain, at an altitude of 1.201 m, the natural monument " Oas Sphinx" is situated, a strange form of a volcanic stone), funicular and a base of general cleaning, cleaning the snow and a pavilion for the administration. A lot of private investment objectives will be started in the region, among them: commercial spaces on a surface of 7,3 ha, 2 ski slopes for beginners (length - 850 m), holiday houses, hotels, motels and sheds, sport facilities and a Camping with 120 places. The auction for the execution of the project was won by the Greek company "Efklidis". The Mayor of Negresti Oas and the constructor-company insured that the project will be finalized in time, in June 2006.
Investment possibilities. Offer for the investors The Town Hall and the Local Council are searching for partners for the following objectives: -2 ski slopes for beginner -1 golf field -1 Motocross track -Horse ridding facilities -Off road round trip for motoring -Building of accommodation facilities, commercial points and other services. -Entertaining and sports facilities -accommodation for family use *These private investments will be built on fields leased to the investors, in accordance with the rules of the Regional Plan for Urbanizing and the specific laws, or, in the case of the holiday houses, the fields can be bought.
